Using data from both the American Community Survey (2012) - US Census Bureau and from a survey done on the Romanian communities in the United States of America between August 2nd and October 19th 2013, this study is a first step in the direction of the examination of the importance of the social capital, cultural integration, and economic fulfillment in the development of a major Romanian community. The findings show the importance of cultural values a immigrants hold and the role those values play in the identity blending process known as acculturation. In the same time, the effect of cultural values varies according to the social, economic and legal status of the studied immigrants.
